Dr. Merily Roy is Head of Department of English in Indira Gandhi Govt P.G College of Arts & Commerce, Vaishali Nagar, Bhilai in the state of Chhatisgarh. She has a teaching experience of 27 years in Higher education. She publishes regularly in international and national academic journals. Her debut book was Divine Relations. She has been featured as Guest Speaker in INTERNATIONAL POETRY FESTIVAL at BELAGAVI.in 2022.Besides she has been interviewed by BB Newsletter published from Mumbai and Interviewed by Psychologist Roger Harris on Financial stability of Women. Her poetry was published in Elysian magazine, international magazine AlCANZER, Mumbai metro.She is inclined towards social service and was an active programme officer of NSS unit of the college for 14 years. Under her guidance, NSS unit of the college won National young leaders award (3rd position) by Govt of India Youth Affairs department, New Delhi. She herself was honored with Best NSS Oficer in the district by the Pt R.S.U Raipur She has a special soft corner for animals. She values & nurtures every relationship with love, care and tenderness. Penning down her emotions gives her solace from what she endures in day-to-day life.
